Project Service & Produktion has released their new mobile handling solution ORBYN, where Edge Edition cobot plays a key role. ORBYN is an innovative mobile robot that works seamlessly with Edge Edition cobots mounted on top of the mobile robot - taking full advantage of the integrated controller and lightweight cobot design.
ORBYN is a compact solution designed for deployment across industries where manual tasks need automation. Equipped with onboard lasers and scanners, it ensures safety by enabling free movement among employees in collaborative mode. It also features intuitive programming and plug-and-play compatibility with major automation network structures.
Dieter Pletscher, Global Sales Manager at Kassow Robots, stated: "ORBYN is a mobile handling solution developed in-house by our partner, Project Service & Produktion, with whom we have collaborated for several years. They have fully leveraged our new Edge Edition cobots to create a lightweight mobile solution with deployment potential across industries, regardless of company size. We are excited about ORBYN’s future and look forward to further strengthening our partnership.”
Jan Hanenkamp, CEO at Project Service & Produktion GmbH, said: “Our latest mobile handling solution, ORBYN, marks a significant step forward in factory automation, particularly for material handling and intralogistics, where we see great potential due to workforce shortages. As an integrator, our main goal is to maximize efficiency and give our customers a competitive advantage—something we believe ORBYN can achieve. Kassow Robots’ Edge Edition is the ideal fit for our new solution, thanks to its lightweight design, ease of programming, and long battery runtime.”
ORBYN will be available to customers in Spring 2025. To find out more about ORBYN, visit the website.
