OPL d.o.o., an automation company based in Trzin, northeast of the capital, Ljubljana, is Kassow Robots first Slovenian partner. With this new partnership, Kassow Robots is expanding its reach in Central and Eastern Europe. “We’re very happy with the strong presence that OPL now gives us in Slovenia,” says Dieter Pletscher, Global Sales Manager at Kassow Robots. “Jakob Saksida’s dedicated team knows how to modernize production processes to make them highly efficient.”

A strong cobot was missing in the product portfolio

OPL supports companies in the automobile and thehousehold appliance industries in particular. The SME has been a partner ofBosch Rexroth for 30 years and will will add the 7-axis cobots from Copenhagen to their broad Bosch Rexroth product portfolio. “It’s fantastic to be the first partner of Kassow Robots in Slovenia,” reports Jakob Saksida, Sales Engineer at OPL. “We put great importance on listening closely to our customers. And we realized that a strong, super-flexible cobot was missing from our sales portfolio. With its wide range of five different 7-axis lightweight robots, Kassow Robots was the perfect fit.”

OPL as a partner and coach for other companies

For 2024, OPL plans to show SMEs, in particular, the advantages of automation with cobots. “When a Slovenian company buys a Kassow Robots cobot from us, they can integrate it in their production operations themselves — or we can do it for them,” Saksida says. The cobots from Copenhagen have a 7th axis that lets them reach around corners. This often offers greater automation possibilities than customers expect, he explains: “Thanks to the 7th axis, companiescan automate with a small robot footprint, even in tight spaces.”
