Kassow Robots cobots at Hannover Messe 2024
Copenhagen/Kastrup — Hannover, April 15, 2024 ● This marks the third time that Kassow Robots cobots are present in Hannover at the booth of majority owner Bosch Rexroth (Hall 6, Booth D 26). Providing solutions for SMEs is the focus of the three applications being presented in Hannover by Heldele Automation, PTS Group, and Symacon—all three of which are certified excellence partners of Bosch Rexroth and partners of Kassow Robots.
The booth in Hannover will feature a bin-picking solution, cobot-supported pick-and-place, and a solution for transporting workpiece holders at various heights. The goal of all three applications is to provide SMEs with a simple and flexible route to automation.
Heldele Automation: bin-picking cell with the KR1410
Heldele demonstrates that bin-picking is both possible and affordable for industrial SMEs. Thanks to the amazing flexibility of use offered by its bin-picking cell, this solution enables the camera-guided, position-based pick-and-place of a wide range of components using a KR1410. Kassow Robots cobots are easy to program and operate, and their 7 axes mean they are also especially flexible: they simplify handling in cases of complex gripping sequences, i.e., when components are in a difficult position. The small load carriers (SLC) are transported into the cell using the ACTIVE Shuttle from Bosch Rexroth, where they are placed in one of the two machine bunkers—even automated loading and unloading is possible.
PTS Group: KR810 places components on a chain conveyor system Vario Flow
The PTS Group solution being showcased at Hannover Messe combines electromechanical conveyor technology, handling technology utilizing pneumatic and cobot technology, and hydraulic clamping and forming. The application also includes a Kassow Robots lightweight robot equipped with the Smart Flex Effector, a sensor-based compensation module from Bosch Rexroth. This enables the KR810 to identify components and position the products on the VarioFlow chain conveyor system.
Symacon: KR1805 transports workpiece carriers at different heights
Symacon is presenting its systems solution SSG Lift, which features a 7-axis cobot from Kassow Robots. With SSG Lift—an in-house development utilizing a KR1805 7-axis lightweight robot—Symacon supplies a simple yet flexible cobot solution that transports workpiece carriers at different heights. Both hardware and software are fully scalable. The solution utilizes the ctrlX CORE from Bosch Rexroth control platform.
