The company’s first products have been on the market for several years and now the R&D team needs a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to take the overall responsibility of the large portfolio of in-house designed Mechanical components which are key components in the final products.

Kassow Robots strong technology has been recognized also outside Danish borders and Bosch Rexroth acquired a majority stake in the company three years ago, ensuring a solid financial backing and a strong intention to scale the business globally. You will be responsible for design and testing of a large variety of components, primarily in our robotic arm, but potentially also, our robot controller, teach pendant, and test equipment.

Kassow Robots 7-axis arms have industry leading mechanical performance, while maintaining a smaller footprint than other industry leaders.The candidate should have an interest in high performance mechanical systems,quality and the interaction of electronics and mechanics.

You will be part of a small team of passionate and highly skilled R&D engineers, where all contribute every day to reach goals.

‍We expect that:‍

• You have an education as a mechanical engineer or similar
• You have a strong understanding of rotating machinery
• You have experience designing CNC machined components
• You have excellent CAD skills (SolidWorks is Preferred) as well as a strong understanding of GD&T
• You take responsibility and can manage topics outside of design, such as but not limited to procurement, process development and regulatory topics
• You have good hands-on experience with mechanical assemblies, as you will be expected to play a direct role in prototype building and testing.
• You are fluent in English (oral and written)

It would be advantageous if:

• You have knowledge metal fatigue, especially aluminium components
• You have worked with electromechanical assemblies, such as solenoids and electric motors
• You have experience in sheet metal part design
• You have either academic or professional experience performing finite element modelling and structural calculations
• You have experience operating a PLM or PDM system (bonus points if you have been involved in its administration or setup)

WITH PASSION AND PERFECTION:

• Experience in robotics, automation, or electronics assembly.
• Familiarity with electrical testing procedures, soldering standards, and safety regulations.
• Background in start-up or scale-up environments where roles are flexible and broad.
