Kassow Robots, a Copenhagen-based manufacturer of high-performance seven-axis lightweight collaborative robots, introduced its new models, the KR 1824 and KR 1240 - leveraging its signature seven-axis design to bring collaborative robotics into higher-payload applications without compromising flexibility, compactness, or ease of deployment. The new models will be showcased at Hannover Messe as part of Bosch Rexroth’s digital showcase of the future of factory automation.

As part of Bosch Rexroth AG, Kassow Robots continues to push the boundaries of collaborative robotics by expanding the capabilities of collaborative robotics. With the introduction of the KR 1824 and KR 1240, the company enables manufacturers to automate more demanding, higher-payload processes - bridging the gap between traditional industrial and collaborative robots.

Designed for seamless integration into modern production environments, the new cobots support a wide range of applications, including palletizing, machine tending, and material handling. Their compact design enables deployment in space-constrained environments, with both external and EDGE integrated controller options supporting mobile and modular setups.

“The introduction of the KR 1824 and KR 1240 marks an important step in expanding the capabilities of collaborative robotics,” said Christoph Rieger, Chief Sales Officer at Kassow Robots. “Our unique combination of EDGE integrated controller, mobile deployment, high payload and extended reach enable more demanding applications within dynamic production environments.”

The new models also deliver improved motion performance, including 50% higher joint torque, more than 20% faster wrist joint speeds, and 40% increased mechanical stiffness. These enhancements enable more stable handling of heavier loads, faster cycle times, and improved precision in demanding applications.

Key benefits include:

  • Increased payload capacity for more demanding applications
  • Seven-axis design for maximum flexibility and extended reach
  • Automation of tasks beyond traditional cobot limits
  • Compact design and light footprint for space-constrained environments
  • Integrated controller option for simplified deployment and mobile integration

Visitors to Hannover Messe 2026 will be able to experience how the new models fit into the Bosch Rexroth factory automation in the CU.BE digital, allowing visitors to explore multiple applications and use cases - from material handling to advanced automation scenarios - demonstrating how collaborative robotics integrates seamlessly into the factory of the future.
