Automatica 2023: A Variety of Applications at the Kassow Robots Stand

by
Reglindis Pfeiffer

Visitors can try out all kinds of applications / First-time presentation of its collaboration with GYS in the area of welding with 7-axis cobots / KR EDGE: additional model series with the controller in the robot’s foot stands for even greater compactness.

At this year’s Automatica trade fair in Munich (June 27–30, 2023), Kassow Robots will be giving visitors the opportunity to try out a wide array of applications at Booth B4.101. One highlight: the Copenhagen-based manufacturer of 7-axis lightweight robots will be presenting a welding solution together with GYS for the first time.

Kassow Robots introduced itself to the public for the first time five years ago. Since April 2022, the company has been able to scale things up more quickly internationally, too, thanks to its majority shareholder Bosch Rexroth. “Our motto ‘Strong. Fast. Simple.’ continues to stand for our product philosophy. We wish to make automation as simple as possible for the end customer. Visitors to the trade fair in Munich will be able to try out specific applications very easily and talk to our experts,” says Dieter Pletscher, Global Sales Manager (see information below). The manufacturer of industrial robots will also be showcasing its KR EDGE series.

Kassow Robots is currently expanding its existing model series consisting of five “traditional” 7-axis models by introducing a further five such models.  What makes these models special is that the controller is integrated into the robot’s base. “This solution offers industry even greater compactness! Imagine, for example, the solution for handling boxes we are presenting in Munich would be equipped with a KR EDGE. If no extra space is needed for the controller and everything is integrated into the cobot’s base, the result is another huge increase in flexibility,” says Dieter Pletscher.
