Newsletter 1 | 8 November 2018

It’s now more than 100 days since we successfully launched our Copenhagen-based start-up Kassow Robots at Automatica in Munich in June 2018 under the motto “strong, fast, simple”. We’re proud of what we have achieved so far. We would like to thank everyone for the great interest in our uniquely efficient 7-axis cobots.

Keeping in touch with you is extremely important to us. FachPack 2018 in Nuremberg and the two open days a two of our partners, Project Group and R&D Engineering & Automation, were a great opportunity to do so. In our newsletter, available in German and English, we will keep you up to date on our (new) partners and trade fair appearances and bring you the latest news on our products and company.

Some special news: After only a few months in business, we are delighted to welcome a fourth partner on board – Robowork from Portugal.

Happy reading!

FachPack 2018: KR 810 cobot from Kassow Robots in action for the first time – with flexible packaging solution

Two words – successful debut – sum up the first active demonstration of a Kassowrobot at a trade fair. Our partner, the Germany based “Project Group”, showcased the KR 810 cobot on their stand at FachPack in Nuremberg at the end of September. The demonstration showed how the KR 810 cobot can assist in the process of banding products such as coffee packs. Dirk Hebbering, Head of sales at Project Group, describes the process: “Loose packs of coffee are carried by a conveyor belt and have already been grouped into fours. They run up against a stopper. The robot is triggered by an optical barrier: it moves to the pre-programmed position, grabs the coffee packs and carries them to the PROSMART system. Once banded, the packs are then placed on the other side of the conveyor belt by the cobot.”
