NEWSLETTER 7 | 3 MARCH 2021

On a societal level, 2020 shook up the world and our society as a whole. The same is true for the world of robotics. For this year, however, we at Kassow Robots are optimistic that we will be able to see more of you in person again, at least on a smaller scale. We are looking forward to it!

Things are dynamic in 2021: Further partners, for example from the USA, have joined us. Today we are also announcing the expansion of our R&D team: With Lasse Kieffer and Peter Nadolny Madsen, we have been able to recruit two top-class professionals from the robotics industry as advisors. But read for yourself...

Our summary of the last three years is also positive: We first introduced ourselves in 2018, and in 2019, the launch of the first products started. Finally, 2020 was a triple success for us – despite special market conditions: As planned, our product family has now grown to five cobots – with a payload of up to 18 kilograms and a reach of up to 1.80 meters. Our cobots with the 7th axis are increasingly being used for demanding applications, e. g. in the area of gluing or labelling in confined spaces. Finally, at the end of 2020, we launched the expansion of our partner network in the direction of Asia.
We look forward to sharing and meeting with you!

Kassow Robots expands its R&D team

Lasse Kieffer and Peter Nadolny Madsen start as advisors

With Lasse Kieffer and Peter Nadolny Madsen, “real robotics brains with a lot of entrepreneurial genes,” as Kristian Kassow put it, are starting as advisors at Kassow Robots. They both bring with them in-depth robotics expertise in the areas of electronics, firmware, robotics applications and ISO standards.  CEO and company founder Kristian Kassow knows them personally: In 2007, in his former position as the company’s CEO of Universal Robots, he had been able to win Lasse Kieffer over to this company for developing the first cobots. After Leaving Universal Robots, Lasse Kieffer and Peter Nadolny Madsen founded Purple Robotics, where they invented the world`s first dual vacuum gripper and created a global sales network within a single year. In 2018, they sold and merged their company into OnRobot to join forces.

For Lasse Kieffer, “it’s impressive how Kassow Robots has managed to combine user-friendliness and flexibility in its 7-axis cobots – especially since they meet a wide range of customer needs with their five cobot models.”

Coworker cobot: Examples of application

Bearing feeding application

Nice ease of programming our 7-axis cobots: It took Batu Sipka from our US-partner Gibson Engineering only about 6 hours from start to finish to complete this proof of concept. Check out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xcwQMCDopM

Contract filling / weighing & dosing

Significant increases in productivity for the customer while protecting the health of employees: Alexander Bürkle helps weighing and dosing specialist JMTronic to economically automate monotonous work and production processes by having manual processes in contract filling be performed by our 7-axis cobot.

About Kassow Robots

Kassow Robots was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark, is developing and manufacturing unique and efficient 7-axes lightweight robots for industrial applications. The company’s motto is “strong, fast, simple”. Its products offer speed and power, yet also have a long reach. The robots’ user-friendliness provides businesses with greater flexibility, allowing SMEs without their own robotics specialists to achieve complex automation and programming cost-effectively and independently. What is more, the cobots are compact enough for use in confined spaces. Two highly experienced robotics experts – Kristian Kassow as CEO and Dieter Pletscher as Head of Sales – are driving the company’s development.

After first presenting our company in 2018 and introducing the first two models in 2019, Kassow Robots can now offer a strong product family of five cobots: It comprises the cobots KR810 (with a reach of 850 mm / a payload of 10 kg), KR1018 (with at reach of 1000mm / a payload of 18 kg), KR1205 (1200 mm / 5 kg), KR1410 (1400 mm / 10 kg) and KR1805 (1800 mm / 5 kg).
