The Bavarian Och GmbH becomes a partner of Kassow Robots
"Great to have our first partner from the German state of Bavaria on board," says Dieter Pletscher, Head of Sales at Kassow Robots. The 1963 founded Och GmbH, based in Nuremburg in the North of Bavaria, also has locations in Saxony and Thuringia. The company is a supplier for machine tools, tools, as well as measuring and laser technology – and is now broadening its portfolio. “The Copenhagen based robotics company with its thrilling 7-axis lightweight cobots is a perfect match for us. On the one hand, we want to rely on an innovative partner whose products are still easy to use. In addition, the company spirit of our Danish partner Kassow Robots fits very well with our corporate culture,” adds Hans-Juergen Ammon, Managing Director of Och GmbH.
7-axis lightweight robots ensure double flexibility
“We chose the perfect timing entering this partnership. Kassow Robots sells now a strong family of five 7-axis cobots to the end-customers. The cobots from Kassow Robots are extremely flexible. On the one hand, they weigh a maximum of 38 kilograms and can be quickly moved from one location to another in the company. In addition, the 7th axis enables an impressive manoeuverability and allows the robot to even work in very tight spaces. This is a perfect fit with our end-customers with their small production facilities”, says Hans-Juergen Ammon.
Strong - fast - simple: strong, flexible lightweight robots for SMEs / “Mittelstand”
Kassow Robots started its market entry in 2018. Five 7-axis lightweight robots have been introduced and are now sold in the market. Their payload is up to 18 kilograms, the reach up to 1.80 meters – all with a cobot`s weight of a maximum of 38 kilograms and speed of up to 225 degrees / second. This makes us understand the claim "strong - fast - simple", which has been the motto of Kristian Kassow, the founder of the company: He stressed on strong cobots for industrial use and the robots’ user-friendliness that provides businesses with greater flexibility, allowing SMEs without their own robotics specialists to achieve complex automation and programming cost-effectively and independently.
